Brothersong: The Soundtrack
All they’ve done, all they’ve fought for, all the love, the loss, everything…has been leading to this.
The ending of the journey of the Bennett Pack.
I’m very much a stickler when it comes to spoilers. Some don’t seem to mind (you weirdos), but for everyone else, though I have attempted to avoid spoilers as much as possible, this soundtrack is as the previous were: a selection of songs placed in order to cover the entire book. If you don’t want to know anything, perhaps consider coming back after you’ve read the book. That being said, no plot details are given away.
But.
Let’s be frank: you know as well as I do that the pack will be reunited at one point or another (I’m not that big of an asshole). Either Carter will find them, or they’ll find him. It’s not necessarily that it happens, but the how. That’s something you’ll discover for yourself on October 13 when Brothersong finally, finally releases.
The list, as with previous playlists, is divided into parts: two, in fact. Part One is the majority of the book. Part Two is…well. It’s the last chapter, the epilogue, if you will. I don’t know that I’ve written a better ending, but it’s one they deserve after everything I’ve put the Bennett Pack through.
So. One last time, a soundtrack. A couple of songs you may recognize from being on a previous soundtrack list, but that’s intentional. A couple of songs don’t have lyrics, which is intentional too. Also, I learned how to make a playlist on Spotify! WILL WONDERS NEVER CEASE.
Pre-Order now available! (Paperback will be available exclusively from Amazon, closer to the release date. The audio, performed by Kirt Graves, will also be released October 13.)

PART ONE
I’ll Walk Alone // Dinah Shore
(Carter and Thomas
Carter and Kelly
Carter and Gavin)
I'll walk alone because to tell you the truth I'll be lonely,
I don't mind being lonely when my hear tells me you are lonely too
Brighter Side // Wild
Seen the way the world can shake ya but don't let it break ya
I need your skin and bones like shelter to keep me alive
Keep me alive
Take me back to that big sky
Take me back to the reasons why
I'm lost without you
With you I'm fireproof
Take me back to your brighter side
Waves (Acoustic) // Dean Lewis
There is a swelling storm
And I'm caught up in the middle of it all
And it takes control
Of the person that I thought I was
The boy I used to know
Find You // Ruelle
I will find you here inside the dark
I will break through
No matter where you are
I will find you
I will find you
You’re Somebody Else // Flora Crash
It's like you told me
Go forward slowly
It's not a race to the end
Here With Me // Susie Suh
Calling your name in the midnight hour
Reaching for you from the endless dream
So many miles between us now
But you are always here with me
Anger // Sleeping At Last
Like wildfire
It starts in my chest
The silence grows louder
Ringing out in my head
I feel the Earth shaking under my feet
I feel the pressure building until I can't breathe
And it takes everything
And it spills out
Drumming Song // Florence + the Machine
As I move my feet towards your body
I can hear this beat it fills my head up
And gets louder and louder
It fills my head up and gets louder and louder
Trainwreck // James Arthur
Underneath our bad blood
We still got a sanctum, home
Still a home, still a home here
It's not too late to build it back
'Cause a one-in-a-million chance
Is still a chance, still a chance
And I would take those odds
Leap of Faith // Audiomachine
(Bennett Brothers)
Goliath // Woodkid
The chest and the head divided by a white laser
A pattern of mad strobes, you're going haywire
In your eyes, night cold, I see the end of us
You're playing your best role but the mask shatters
Johnny Guitar // Peggy Lee
Play the guitar, play it again, my Johnny
Maybe you're cold but you're so warm inside
I was always a fool for my Johnny
For the one they call Johnny Guitar
Play it again, Johnny Guitar
Brother // Kodaline
(Carter and Ox)
If I was dying on my knees
You would be the one to rescue me
And if you were drowned at sea
I'd give you my lungs so you could breathe
Pieces // Red
I've lost so much along the way
Then I'll see your face
I know I'm finally yours
I find everything I thought I lost before
You call my name
I come to you in pieces
So you can make me whole
Leave a Light On (Acoustic) // Tom Walker
If you look into the distance, there's a house upon the hill
Guiding like a lighthouse to a place where you'll be
Safe to feel our grace 'cause we've all made mistakes
If you've lost your way, I will leave the light on
Empty Crown // Yas
(Bennett Brothers)
There's a war inside my head
And I'm drowning in regret
When the lights come down
Got an empty crown
Bleeding Out // Imagine Dragons
When the hour is nigh
And hopelessness is sinking in
And the wolves all cry
To feel they're not worth hollering
When your eyes are red
And emptiness is all you know
With the darkness fed
I will be your scarecrow
Two // Sleeping At Last
(Gavin and Carter)
I know exactly how the rule goes
Put my mask on first
No, I don't want to talk about myself
Tell me where it hurts
I just want to build you up, build you up
'Til you're good as new
And maybe one day I will get around to fixing myself too
When It’s All Over // Raign
It's all gone wrong
Heaven hold us
We've lost the sun
Heaven told us
The world was strong
Heaven hold us
Where do we go
When it's all over
This World is Not My Home // The Bedquilt Ramblers & Ben Babbitt
This world is not my home I'm just a passing through
My treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me from heaven's open door
And I can't feel at home in this world anymore
Come Back to Me // Les Friction
I'm holding out til we're out of time
Would you pierce the veil
Would you cross the line
I can feel you here, souls redefined
I can't let go of our design
Would you pierce the veil
Would you cross the line
Come back to me
Carried Me With You // Brandi Carlile
If you should ever bear a heavy load
I'll be your wheels, I'll be the road
I'll see us through the thick and thin
For love and loss until the end
Atlas: Hearing // Sleeping At Last
(So long, my old friends)
PART TWO
To Build a Home // The Cinematic Orchestra ft. Patrick Watson
Out in the garden where we planted the seeds
There is a tree as old as me
Branches were sewn by the color of green
Ground had arose and passed it's knees
By the cracks of the skin I climbed to the top
I climbed the tree to see the world
When the gusts came around to blow me down
I held on as tightly as you held onto me
I held on as tightly as you held onto me
